Mercury’s Journey Through Pisces: February 6th – April 15th, 2026

If there’s one word that captures Mercury’s extended stay in Pisces, it’s surrender. This transit is about releasing your grip on rigid thinking and allowing a softer, more intuitive way of processing information to guide you. Mercury, the planet of communication, thought, and daily movement, typically likes things clear, organized, and logical. But in Pisces it speaks in poetry, dreams, and feelings.

Mercury rules how we process information, how we talk, how we listen, how we move through our daily routines, and even how we make short trips and handle everyday transactions. It governs our rational mind, our curiosity, and our ability to connect dots. When Mercury enters Pisces, all of these functions get filtered through a watery, mystical lens. Suddenly, the straight line between point A and point B becomes a winding river with unexpected currents.

This transit is unusually long because Mercury will station retrograde on February 26th and won’t turn direct until March 20th. That means Mercury spends over 2 months swimming through these mystical waters, giving us plenty of time to explore the depths of our minds and hearts! A typical Mercury transit through a sign lasts about three weeks, so you’re going to get to know these Mercury in Pisces waters intimately.

The retrograde period is the heart of this transit. Retrogrades ask us to go backward before we can go forward. Mercury retrograde in Pisces specifically asks us to revisit old dreams, reconnect with people from our past, reconsider our spiritual beliefs, and re-examine the stories we tell ourselves. It’s a time to review, reflect, remember, release, reconnect, and reimagine.

The 5 Main Themes During Mercury In Pisces

Intuition Over Logic

During this transit, your gut feelings become louder than your analytical mind. You might find yourself “just knowing” things without understanding how you know them. Dreams may carry messages. Random thoughts might turn out to be meaningful. This is a time when the invisible threads connecting all of us become easier to sense.

Mercury in Pisces doesn’t process information the way Mercury in other signs does. Instead of building conclusions step by step like a logical argument, Mercury in Pisces receives information whole, like downloading an entire feeling or image rather than reading a paragraph word by word. This can feel disorienting if you’re used to trusting only what you can prove or explain. But it can also be powerful once you learn to work with it.

Your body becomes a more reliable messenger than your mind during this transit. That tightness in your chest when something feels wrong? Trust it! That inexplicable excitement when you meet someone new? Pay attention! The sense that you should call an old friend for no particular reason? Follow through! These subtle signals are how Mercury in Pisces communicates with you.

This doesn’t mean you should abandon logic entirely, but it does mean giving your intuition a seat at the table rather than dismissing it as irrational. The most powerful insights often come when logic and intuition work together.

Creative Expression

Pisces is one of the most artistic signs, and Mercury here wants to communicate through creative channels. Writing, music, visual art, photography, film, and dance all become powerful forms of expression. Even if you don’t consider yourself creative, you might feel pulled toward beauty and imagination in new ways.

Mercury in Pisces speaks in metaphor, symbol, and image. It communicates through the language of the unconscious which is the same language that dreams use. This is why creative expression becomes so natural and necessary during this transit. When words feel inadequate, art picks up where language leaves off.

You don’t need to be a professional artist to benefit from this energy. Doodling in the margins of your notebook counts! Singing in the shower counts. Arranging flowers, cooking a beautiful meal, decorating your space, or choosing an outfit that expresses how you feel inside are all creative acts. Mercury in Pisces invites you to approach your entire life as a creative project and seeing beauty and meaning in small details.

For those who do practice creative arts seriously, this transit can bring so much inspiration! The challenge is capturing the visions and ideas before they slip away because Pisces energy is slippery. Then you need to refine them into something coherent once the retrograde passes.

Compassion in Communication

Words carry emotional weight now. There’s a natural softening in how we speak to each other, or at least an opportunity for it. Conversations might become more heartfelt. People are more likely to share vulnerable truths. Listening becomes just as important as speaking. Mercury in Pisces doesn’t just hear the words someone says, it hears the feelings underneath the words, the fears behind the questions, and the hopes hidden in the silences. This gives us access to a deeper level of understanding in our conversations. We can sense when someone needs reassurance even if they’re acting tough. We can feel the loneliness behind someone’s jokes. We can hear the love in someone’s criticism.

This heightened sensitivity is a gift, but it requires us to slow down and be present with others. Mercury in Pisces communication isn’t about quick exchanges of information. It’s about genuine connection. It asks us to put down our phones, make eye contact, and actually listen.

The shadow side of this theme is that we might project our own feelings onto others, assuming we know what they’re experiencing when we really don’t. The key is staying curious and humble. Yes, you might be picking up on real emotional undercurrents. But check in! Ask questions. Verify your impressions rather than assuming they’re accurate.

Blurred Boundaries

Pisces doesn’t believe in hard lines. This means boundaries (mental, emotional, and even physical) can feel less solid. On the positive side, this allows for deeper connection and empathy. On the challenging side, it can create confusion about where you end and others begin.

Boundaries are the invisible lines that define where your responsibilities end and someone else’s begin, what you’re willing to accept and what you’re not, and who you are versus who others want you to be. Healthy boundaries are essential for wellbeing, but Mercury in Pisces can make those lines feel fuzzy or even irrelevant.

You might find yourself absorbing other people’s problems as if they were your own. You might say yes when you mean no because you can feel how much the other person wants you to agree. You might lose track of your own opinions because you’re so attuned to what others think. You might neglect your own needs because someone else’s needs feel more urgent.

The spiritual teaching of Pisces is that we are all connected, that separation is on some level, an illusion. This is true. But we still live in bodies and individual lives with responsibilities and limited energy. The practice during this transit is holding both truths. Yes, we are all one, and yes, I still need to take care of myself, speak my truth, and maintain healthy limits.

Spiritual Downloads

This is prime time for spiritual insights, meditation breakthroughs, and meaningful coincidences. The veil between the everyday world and something larger feels thinner. Many will find themselves drawn to spiritual practices, healing modalities, or philosophical questions about the meaning of life.

Pisces is the sign most connected to the transcendent, the mystical, and the divine. It rules the realm beyond ordinary reality, like the world of dreams, visions, imagination, and spirit. When Mercury moves through Pisces, our minds get a direct line to this realm. You might receive guidance during meditation that feels like it comes from beyond yourself. You might notice number patterns, animal encounters, or “coincidences” that feel too meaningful to be random. You might feel the presence of loved ones who have passed. You might have moments of sudden knowing about your life purpose or path.

These experiences are more common during Mercury in Pisces because our mental filters are looser. Normally, our rational mind dismisses or ignores subtle spiritual information, but when Mercury is in Pisces, that dismissive filter relaxes, allowing us to perceive what’s usually hidden.

Whether you interpret these experiences as contact with the divine, messages from your higher self, or the creative output of your unconscious mind, they can be meaningful and useful. The key is staying open without becoming ungrounded. Spiritual insight should help you live your actual life more wisely and lovingly, not become an escape from reality.

The 5 Main Challenges During Mercury In Pisces

Mental Fog and Confusion

Pisces energy can make it hard to think straight. You might forget appointments, misplace items, or struggle to make decisions. Information may come to you in fragments rather than complete pictures. This isn’t a great time for detailed analytical work that requires precision.

The mental fog of Mercury in Pisces happens because Pisces processes information holistically rather than linearly. Your mind is taking in much more data than usual (emotional undertones, energetic impressions, intuitive hits) but it’s all swirling together rather than organizing neatly into categories. It’s hard to focus.

This fog tends to be thickest during the retrograde period (February 26th through March 20th) and especially around the station days when Mercury changes direction (February 26th and March 20th). On these days, Mercury appears to stand still in the sky, and our mental processes can feel stuck or hazy.

Writing everything down, building extra time into your schedule, double-checking important details, and accepting that your thinking will be slower and less precise than usual, will help you navigate this transition.

Miscommunication

Because Pisces prefers suggestion over directness, messages can get lost in translation. You might say one thing and have someone hear something completely different. Assumptions replace clarity. It’s easy to project your feelings onto others or misread their intentions.

Mercury in Pisces communicates through vibes and hints rather than explicit statements. This can be beautiful when both people are attuned to the same wavelength, but it creates problems when there’s any misalignment. You might assume someone understood your meaning when they didn’t. You might read between the lines of someone’s message and find something that wasn’t actually there.

The retrograde period amplifies miscommunication risks significantly. Emails go missing, texts get misinterpreted, and conversations go in circles without reaching resolution. People speak past each other, each convinced they’re being perfectly clear while the other person remains confused.

The key here is conscious over-communication. Say exactly what you mean, even if it feels blunt. Ask clarifying questions, even if it feels tedious. Repeat back what you understood to make sure you got it right. And when misunderstandings happen, approach them with patience and a sense of humor rather than frustration.

Escapism and Avoidance

When reality feels overwhelming, Pisces energy tempts us to check out. This could look like excessive daydreaming, binge-watching shows, overindulging in substances, or avoiding difficult conversations and responsibilities. The desire to drift away is strong!

Pisces rules both transcendence and escape. The difference between them is whether you’re running toward something (spiritual growth, creative vision, deeper truth) or running away from something (pain, responsibility, reality). During Mercury in Pisces, both tendencies are heightened. The same sensitivity that opens us to profound beauty also makes us more vulnerable to being overwhelmed by life’s difficulties.

Escapism during this transit might look like spending hours scrolling social media instead of having a hard conversation, drinking or using substances to numb feelings, losing yourself in fantasy (whether through books, games, shows, or daydreams), or spacing out and forgetting to handle practical matters.

There’s nothing wrong with needing breaks and comfort. The problem arises when escapism becomes the primary strategy, when the bills go unpaid while you disappear into Netflix, when the relationship conversation keeps getting postponed indefinitely, or when substance use crosses from occasional relief into dependence.

The key is catching yourself when you’re using Pisces energy to avoid rather than to grow. Ask yourself, am I drifting toward something meaningful, or am I drifting away from something I don’t want to face?

Overwhelm from Absorbing Others’ Emotions

If you’re naturally empathetic, this transit can be exhausting. You might pick up on the moods and feelings of people around you without realizing it, leaving you drained or confused about which emotions are actually yours.

Mercury in Pisces removes the normal filters that keep other people’s emotional energy out of our system. Suddenly, you’re not just hearing what someone says, you’re feeling what they feel. You walk into a room and sense the tension from an argument that happened hours ago. You hang up the phone after talking to an anxious friend and notice you’re now anxious too, even though everything in your own life is fine.

This emotional absorption happens automatically and often unconsciously. You might not realize that the sadness you’re feeling started when you watched a coworker get criticized, or that your sudden irritability appeared after spending time with a frustrated family member. The emotions feel like yours because they’re inside you, but they originated elsewhere.

For highly sensitive people, empaths, and anyone who already tends to absorb energy from their environment, this transit requires extra protective measures. Regular alone time becomes essential. Physical practices that release stuck energy (exercise, shaking, dancing) help a ton! Visualization techniques (like imagining a protective bubble of light around you) can make a real difference. And asking yourself “is this feeling mine?” can begin to untangle the confusion.

Difficulty with Practical Matters

Taxes, contracts, technical details, scheduling, and anything requiring sharp focus and attention to specifics becomes harder. Important documents might get lost. Deadlines might slip. The mundane demands of life can feel especially tedious or confusing. Mercury normally helps us navigate the practical world efficiently. It keeps track of appointments, processes paperwork, handles logistics, and manages the thousand small details that keep life running smoothly. However, in Pisces, Mercury would rather write poetry than review contracts, meditate rather than file taxes, and dream instead of plan.

This mismatch between Mercury’s usual functions and Pisces’ nature creates friction around practical tasks. You sit down to do your budget and find yourself staring out the window. You try to read the fine print on a document and your eyes glaze over. You make a to-do list and immediately lose it.

During the retrograde period, practical challenges intensify. Technology glitches become more common. You might notice computers crashing, files disappearing, and systems malfunctioning. Travel plans also get disrupted. Mechanical things break down. Paperwork gets lost.

The strategy here is to simplify practical demands where possible (postpone major purchases, delay signing contracts, avoid launching new projects), and build extra systems to support yourself with the practical matters that can’t wait (extra reminders, written checklists, asking for help, giving yourself much more time than you think you need).

The 5 Main Benefits During Mercury In Pisces

Heightened Creativity and Imagination

This is one of the most creatively fertile transits, especially as the rest of the inner planets begin to enter Pisces as well. Ideas flow freely. Inspiration strikes from unexpected places. If you have any creative projects, this is beautiful energy for brainstorming, drafting, and letting your imagination run wild (though you might want to wait until after the retrograde to finalize things).

Mercury in Pisces connects our thinking mind to the vast ocean of the unconscious, where infinite images, stories, and possibilities swim! Creative blocks dissolve because the boundary between “I can’t think of anything” and “endless inspiration” becomes permeable. You stop trying to think of something good and instead open yourself to receive what wants to come through. The quality of creativity during this transit is imaginative, emotional, dreamy, symbolic, and sometimes surreal. This is great energy for fantasy, poetry, music, visual art, film, dance, and any form that expresses feeling and atmosphere rather than requiring technical precision.

The creative process during Mercury in Pisces often works best when you get out of the way! Instead of forcing ideas, create conditions that allow them to arise. Go take long walks, sit by water, listen to music without doing anything else, let yourself daydream, and pay attention to the images that appear as you fall asleep.

For creative professionals facing deadlines, this transit can feel challenging because the inspiration is abundant but the ability to focus and execute is compromised. The key is to capture everything (record voice memos, fill notebooks, sketch quickly) without worrying about polish. The raw material gathered during Mercury in Pisces can be refined and completed once Mercury moves into the more focused sign of Aries.

Deeper Emotional Connections

Conversations can reach places they don’t normally go. People are more willing to be vulnerable, and there’s greater capacity for truly hearing and understanding each other. Relationships can deepen through honest, heartfelt sharing.

Mercury in Pisces dissolves some of the defenses we normally maintain in communication. The walls come down and the masks slip. People say things they’ve been holding back, not necessarily dramatically, but with more openness and authenticity. The atmosphere becomes safer for emotional truth.

If there are relationships in your life that have felt superficial or stuck, this transit offers an opportunity to go deeper. Being present, listening without judgment, and sharing your own authentic feelings creates an invitation for deeper connection.

This is also beautiful energy for healing relationship wounds. The compassion and forgiveness of Pisces soften the hard edges of past hurts. Conversations that would normally get defensive can instead become bridges of understanding. Apologies land more deeply. The capacity to see another person’s experience, even when it differs from your own, expands. The romantic relationships that form or deepen during Mercury in Pisces often have a fated, soulmate quality. Whether or not this proves true over time, the feeling is real and meaningful in the moment.

Spiritual Growth and Insight

Whatever your spiritual path, this transit opens doors to experiences that transcend the ordinary. Meditation, prayer, journaling, therapy, and time in nature can all bring profound realizations. Mercury in Pisces is like having a direct phone line to the divine installed in your mind. The channel that normally only picks up static from higher realms suddenly comes in clear. This doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily have dramatic visions or hear voices (though some people will), it might show up as a deepening sense of meaning, moments of unexpected peace, insights that seem to arrive from somewhere beyond your usual thinking, and a felt sense of being part of something larger than yourself.

Whatever spiritual practices you have, they’re likely to be more powerful during this transit. Meditation goes deeper, prayer feels more connected, yoga becomes more than just physical exercise, reading spiritual texts opens new understanding, and being in nature becomes transcendent.

If you don’t have established spiritual practices, this transit is an invitation to explore. You don’t need to adopt any particular belief system. Just following your curiosity about the big questions (why are we here? what happens when we die? is there something more to reality than what we can see and measure?) can lead to meaningful experiences and insights.

The spiritual growth available during Mercury in Pisces is less about learning new information and more about experiencing truths you may already know intellectually.

Healing Through Words

Words can wound, but they can also heal! Mercury in Pisces gives us access to the kind of language that soothes, forgives, and mends. This is perfect energy for having conversations you’ve been avoiding, writing letters of forgiveness (even ones you never send), or working with a therapist or counselor.

The healing power of Mercury in Pisces comes from its ability to reach the emotional and spiritual levels of experience that ordinary language often misses. You’ve probably experienced this at some point, like when someone said something to you at exactly the right moment, in exactly the right way, and something shifted deep inside. That’s describes Mercury in Pisces energy!

During this transit, you have enhanced access to this healing capacity. You can find words for things that have felt unspeakable. You can express feelings that have been stuck. You can say what needs to be said to clear old emotional debris.

This energy also enhances the effectiveness of any therapeutic work. Whether you’re in therapy, working with a coach, attending support groups, or having deep conversations with trusted friends, the healing potential is amplified. The insights go deeper. The releases are more complete. The understanding between people reaches further.

Enhanced Empathy and Compassion

Walking in someone else’s shoes becomes easier. You can understand perspectives that usually baffle you. This makes it a powerful time for reconciliation, community building, and being kinder to the people in your life.

Empathy is Pisces’ superpower! During Mercury in Pisces, this capacity spreads to everyone. Even people who normally struggle to understand emotions find themselves more attuned to what others are experiencing. The barriers between self and other become more permeable. This enhanced empathy creates opportunities for genuine understanding across differences. Political opponents can glimpse each other’s underlying concerns. Family members stuck in old patterns can suddenly see each other fresh. Strangers can share moments of unexpected connection. This means that efforts to resolve conflicts, build bridges, and create community have extra support during this transit. If there are divisions in your life that you’d like to heal (whether in your family, your workplace, your friend group, or even just within yourself) Mercury in Pisces provides favorable conditions.

The compassion of Mercury in Pisces extends to yourself as well. Self-criticism softens. Self-forgiveness becomes more available. The harsh inner voice that usually points out all your flaws may quiet down, replaced by a gentler voice that understands your struggles and loves you anyway.

Aspects Mercury Will Be Making While In Pisces

February 6th: Mercury Enters Pisces

Mercury leaves the intellectual, future-focused sign of Aquarius and dives into Pisces’ waters. You might notice an immediate shift in how your mind works. Thinking becomes less linear and more flowing. Communication takes on a gentler, more poetic quality. Give yourself a few days to adjust to this different mental rhythm.

Aquarius Mercury is rational, innovative, and focused on ideas and ideals. It thinks about humanity as a collective and approaches problems with detached analysis. Pisces Mercury is intuitive, imaginative, and focused on feelings and connections. It thinks about humanity through compassion and approaches problems with empathy.

You might notice the shift in how conversations feel. Discussion that was animated and idea-focused might become softer and more concerned with emotional nuance. Your own thinking might feel less sharp but more open. The change can feel like a relief (finally, some heart!) or like a loss (where did my clarity go?).

Tips for February 6th:

  • Start a dream journal: your nighttime visions may carry important messages throughout this transit
  • Notice what emotions arise in the first few days, as they may signal themes for the entire two months ahead
  • Give yourself permission to be less productive and more receptive
  • Begin any creative projects you’ve been contemplating because the energy supports new artistic beginnings

In the World: We might see a shift in public conversations toward more emotional, humanitarian, or spiritual topics. Media may feature more stories about art, music, mental health, and collective healing. The tone of public discourse could soften somewhat. Watch for important artistic releases, spiritual teachings entering mainstream awareness, or cultural conversations about compassion and care.

February 10th: Mercury Square Lilith

Squares create tension, and this one brings up friction between our intuitive thoughts and our wild, untamed truth-telling side. This square might bring up conflicts between what we sense is true and what we’re brave enough to say out loud. You might feel torn between keeping the peace and speaking an uncomfortable truth. There could be tension around beliefs, particularly spiritual or philosophical ones. Someone might say something that feels harsh or offensive, even if there’s truth in it.

The dynamic here is between Pisces’ desire for harmony and transcendence and Lilith in Sagittarius’ refusal to be quiet about truths that make people uncomfortable. Pisces wants to dissolve conflict into unity. Lilith wants to burn away falsehood with raw honesty. Both have value and the challenge is integrating them.

You might experience this as an internal conflict. Part of you wants to say something you know might upset others, while another part wants to keep things peaceful and connected. Or you might experience it externally. Someone in your life speaks a difficult truth and you have to decide how to respond.

This aspect brings up questions about spiritual bypassing. Lilith in Sagittarius won’t let us hide from uncomfortable truths behind a veil of “love and light.” She demands that our spirituality be real enough to include shadow, anger, and inconvenient facts.

Tips for February 10th:

  • Notice if you’re suppressing your authentic voice to avoid conflict
  • Also notice if you’re being brutally honest without enough compassion
  • The goal is truth with kindness and honesty with love
  • If someone says something that stings, consider whether there’s useful truth in it before reacting defensively
  • If you have something difficult to say, find a way to say it that acknowledges the other person’s feelings

In the World: Controversial statements or revelations, particularly around religious, spiritual, or educational institutions. Debates about belief systems might get heated. Someone might speak publicly about something usually kept hidden, causing both upset and relief. Watch for tension between spiritual/artistic communities and those who challenge their blind spots.

February 12th: Mercury Conjunct North Node

The transit North Node represents our collective destiny, it’s the direction we’re meant to grow toward collectively. When Mercury joins it, important information, conversations, or ideas emerge that align with our collective higher purpose.

With the North Node in Pisces, our collective growth direction involves developing faith, imagination, compassion, and surrender. We’re learning to trust what we can’t see or prove. We’re developing our capacity for unconditional love. We’re remembering that we’re all connected. Mercury’s conjunction with this point brings these themes into our conscious awareness through words, ideas, and information.

Pay close attention to what you hear, read, think, or discuss around this day. Messages may arrive that point you toward your path. You might meet someone who says exactly what you needed to hear. A thought might pop into your head that changes your direction. This is a moment of spiritual or intellectual alignment with your soul’s purpose.

The information that comes through might not look obviously important at first. It could be a passing comment, a line in a book, a phrase overheard in conversation, or an idea that arrives during meditation. The key is paying attention and trusting that seemingly random mental events may carry significance.

Tips for February 12th:

  • Be open and receptive, ask the universe for guidance
  • Pay attention to synchronicities: meaningful coincidences, repeated numbers, unexpected messages
  • Notice what topics keep coming up in your conversations
  • Write down dreams, thoughts, and insights, even ones that seem random
  • If someone offers advice or shares wisdom, really listen
  • The answer might come through a song lyric, a conversation, a book that falls off a shelf, or a dream

In the World: Significant announcements or communications that feel “fated.” News stories that capture something about where humanity needs to go. Breakthrough moments in art, spirituality, or mental health awareness. Important spiritual teachers or artists may release work that shifts collective consciousness. Conversations about fate, destiny, and purpose enter the mainstream.

February 16th: Mercury Trine Jupiter Retrograde

Jupiter has been retrograde, meaning its expansive energy has been turned inward, helping us grow our inner wisdom and emotional understanding. This is a beautiful day for meaningful conversations, especially about family, home, emotions, and what makes us feel safe. Ideas feel hopeful and expansive. Faith comes naturally. The mind opens to bigger possibilities without resistance.

Jupiter is the planet of growth, abundance, wisdom, and good fortune. In Cancer, its expansion focuses on emotional security, family bonds, home life, and our capacity to nurture and be nurtured. Because Jupiter is retrograde, this growth has been happening internally. You may have been developing a deeper relationship with your own emotional needs, healing family wounds, or expanding your understanding of what “home” means to you.

When Mercury trines Jupiter, our thinking aligns with our faith. Optimism feels natural and genuine rather than forced. We can see the bigger picture without losing touch with details. Communication flows easily and brings people closer together. There’s a sense that things are going to work out.

Conversations on this day might touch on family history, childhood memories, emotional patterns, and how to create more security in life. These topics feel safe to explore because Jupiter’s influence brings a sense of protection and support. Insights about your family’s influence on your life, or about how you can better nurture yourself and others might arise.

Tips for February 16th:

  • Have conversations you’ve been avoiding with family members
  • Share your dreams and visions with people who matter to you
  • Write about your ideal life, your wishes, and your hopes
  • Study or teach something you’re passionate about
  • Be generous with your words: compliments, encouragement, and appreciation
  • Trust your gut about opportunities that appear

In the World: Positive news about families, children, housing, or emotional wellbeing. Expansion of mental health resources or awareness. Healing conversations happening in public between estranged parties. Publications or broadcasts that inspire hope and faith. Spiritual teachers and wise voices gaining wider audiences.

February 26th: Mercury Stations Retrograde in Pisces

This is the day Mercury appears to stop moving forward and begins moving backward. Retrograde stations can be intense. In Pisces, this means a concentrated dose of fog, confusion, but also profound inner access. Mercury retrograde has a notorious reputation for causing technology failures, miscommunications, travel delays, and various practical mishaps. This reputation is somewhat deserved, but the retrograde also has deeper purposes that often get overlooked!

When Mercury goes retrograde, the part of our minds that normally focuses outward turns inward. Instead of processing new information efficiently, we’re prompted to re-process old information, re-consider previous decisions, and re-visit matters we thought were settled.

In Pisces specifically, Mercury retrograde invites us to:

  • Revisit old dreams and creative projects
  • Reconnect with people from the past, especially those with spiritual significance
  • Re-examine our beliefs, illusions, and delusions
  • Remember and integrate experiences that were never fully processed
  • Release old mental patterns, especially those rooted in fear or victimhood
  • Reflect on what truly matters versus what we’ve been chasing out of habit

The station day itself is often the most disorienting. Mercury appears to stand still, and our minds can feel stuck. Don’t try to accomplish anything important on this day if you can help it. Instead, use it for reflection, rest, and gentle introspection.

The coming weeks (through March 20th) are not ideal for starting new projects, signing contracts, making major purchases, or launching important communications. This doesn’t mean life stops (you can’t always avoid these things) but it does mean building in extra time, double-checking everything, and maintaining flexibility when plans go sideways.

Tips for February 26th:

  • Back up your computers and devices
  • Avoid scheduling important meetings or signing documents on this specific day
  • Expect some confusion and don’t fight against it
  • Set intentions for what you want to revisit, release, or resolve during the retrograde period
  • Begin a meditation practice if you don’t have one, or deepen your existing practice
  • Look through old journals, photos, or creative work as you might find something valuable

In the World: Noticeable increase in technological glitches, travel disruptions, and communication breakdowns. News stories that require clarification or correction. Secrets from the past resurfacing. Delays in announcements or decisions. Artists re-releasing old work or revisiting earlier styles. Public conversations about misinformation and the difficulty of knowing what’s true.

February 28th: Mercury Retrograde Conjunct Venus

This is a very romantic and creative aspect. This conjunction during the retrograde reflects reconnecting with past loves, rediscovering old creative work, or finding new depth in existing relationships. Venus in Pisces is in her exalted position which means this is one of the signs where Venus expresses most beautifully. Love here is unconditional, artistic, idealistic, and transcendent. Beauty is found in the ethereal and the emotional, not just the material. When Mercury retrograde meets Venus in this sign, our thoughts turn to love, our words become poetry, and our minds open to beauty.

This is a day when old lovers might reappear literally or figuratively (you find yourself thinking about past relationships with new understanding). If someone from your romantic past does reach out during this transit, approach the reconnection with curiosity rather than immediate action. Retrograde periods are for reviewing, not necessarily for recommitting. Get the information you need before making decisions.

For existing relationships, this aspect supports deep, heartfelt conversations about love, appreciation, and dreams for the future together. Words of love carry extra weight. Expressions of affection feel more meaningful. It’s a beautiful time for romantic dates, especially ones involving art, music, nature, or spiritual experiences.

Creatively, this is magical energy! The beauty that Mercury in Pisces perceives and the artistry that Venus in Pisces creates blend together. This brings inspiration that feels divinely gifted. If you have any artistic inclinations whatsoever, make time to create around this day!

Tips for February 28th:

  • Express love and appreciation to the important people in your life
  • Create something beautiful, write, paint, make music, dance, or photograph
  • If an ex reaches out, listen and reflect rather than immediately reacting
  • Revisit old love letters, poems, or creative work
  • Spend time with art, visit a museum, watch a classic film, or listen to music that moves you
  • Treat yourself to baths, flowers, delicious food, and gentle self-care

In the World: Release of significant artistic works or re-releases of beloved classics. Public declarations of love or appreciation. Healing conversations about past relationships in the cultural spotlight. Attention to beauty, art, and romance in news and social media. Potential reconnection stories becoming public like celebrity reunions or historical reconciliations.

March 7th: Sun Conjunct Mercury Retrograde

We have what’s called a Mercury cazimi taking place on this day! Any planet cazimi is said to be strengthened, clarified, and blessed. During retrograde, the cazimi marks a turning point. The first half of the retrograde is about looking backward and gathering information and the second half is about integrating and preparing to move forward.

This day often brings important insights, revelations, or clarity about matters that have been confused. The light of the Sun illuminates Mercury’s realm of thought and communication. Something you’ve been trying to understand may suddenly click. A decision you’ve been avoiding may become obvious. Information you needed may arrive now.

In Pisces, this illumination touches our dreams, intuitions, spiritual questions, and creative visions. The insight might not be logical or easily articulated, it may be more of a felt sense, an inner knowing, or an image that appears in your mind.

Because Mercury is still retrograde, this isn’t the day to take major external action based on your insights. Instead, it’s the day to receive them, understand them, and let them settle into your awareness. The action comes later, after Mercury goes direct.

Tips for March 7th:

  • Pay very close attention to your thoughts, conversations, and dreams today
  • Schedule time for quiet reflection or meditation
  • Write down whatever comes to you, even if it doesn’t make immediate sense
  • If clarity arrives about a decision, note it and wait a couple of weeks before acting
  • This is an excellent day for any practice that connects you to your inner wisdom like journaling, tarot, therapy, and spiritual work
  • Notice what’s been illuminated during the first half of the retrograde and what’s still murky

In the World: Important revelations or announcements that clarify ongoing confusions. Turning points in stories that have been developing. Moments of collective insight or realization. Artists and spiritual leaders sharing significant messages.

March 9th: Mercury Retrograde Trine Jupiter Retrograde

This is the second time Mercury and Jupiter connect during this transit (the first was February 16th). With both planets now retrograde, this trine brings a deepening of the themes from earlier but with a more internal, reflective quality.

Where the February 16th trine may have opened doors externally (optimistic conversations, hopeful visions, expansive ideas), this March 9th trine consolidates those openings internally. Wisdom sinks deeper. Faith becomes more rooted. The understanding you reached in February has had time to mature.

This is an excellent day for therapy, spiritual counseling, meaningful conversations with family, and any work that involves integrating emotional and intuitive understanding. The retrograde energy supports going over old ground with new appreciation, revisiting conversations, reconsidering advice you received, and finding deeper meaning in what you already know.

Jupiter retrograde in Cancer has been working on our relationship with emotional security, family of origin patterns, and inner nurturing. When Mercury retrograde trines it from Pisces, our conscious mind connects with this deep emotional work. Insights about family patterns may crystallize. Understanding of your own emotional needs may clarify. The relationship between your past and your future may become clearer.

Tips for March 9th:

  • Revisit notes, journals, or insights from around February 16th, see how your understanding has deepened
  • Have meaningful conversations with family members, especially about the past
  • Trust your intuition about emotional matters
  • Study spiritual or philosophical material that interests you
  • Write about what you’ve learned and how you’ve grown during the retrograde period
  • Practice gratitude for the wisdom you’ve gained

In the World: Reflective conversations in the public sphere about hope, faith, and what we’ve learned. Educational or spiritual content that synthesizes earlier messages. Healing developments in family-related stories. Positive resolutions to situations that were in up and down.

March 15th: Mercury Retrograde Conjunct Mars

This is a potent and somewhat tense aspect. Mars is the planet of action, drive, assertion, and anger. When Mercury meets Mars, thoughts become aggressive, communication becomes forceful, and the urge to act on our mental impulses is strong.

But we’re still in the retrograde period, which means acting on impulses is risky because information is incomplete, judgment is clouded, and we’re likely to make decisions we’ll regret. This creates frustrating tension. The energy to act is high, but the wisdom of the moment says wait.

Mars in Pisces is already a challenging placement because Mars wants to charge ahead while Pisces wants to surrender and flow. This combination can manifest as passive aggression, frustration without clear outlet, or action that’s confused about its target. Adding Mercury retrograde to the mix creates a day where arguments are likely, miscommunication leads to conflict, and the urge to speak harshly is strong.

At its best, this aspect can fuel productive conversations about things that need to change. Sometimes gentle Pisces energy avoids conflict to the point of becoming complicit with problems. Mercury conjunct Mars can provide the courage to address what’s been avoided. The key is managing this energy consciously rather than letting it manage you.

Tips for March 15th:

  • Count to ten (or a hundred) before responding to anything that triggers you
  • Avoid sending emotionally charged messages, write them if you need to, but don’t send them yet
  • Channel aggressive energy into physical activity like exercise, cleaning, or creative work
  • If conflict arises, listen first and speak second
  • Remember that everyone’s patience is thin today, give extra grace
  • This is not the day to have confrontations you’ve been avoiding, wait until after the retrograde

In the World: Heated debates, arguments, or conflicts in public discourse. Aggressive communication from public figures. Transportation accidents or conflicts. Potential for protests or expressions of collective anger. Important to watch for escalation and work toward de-escalation.

March 16th: Mercury Retrograde Square Lilith

This is the second time Mercury squares Lilith during the transit (the first was February 10th). The themes from earlier return, but now we’re looking at them with retrograde perspective, reviewing, reconsidering, and perhaps resolving.

Whatever tensions arose around February 10th (conflicts between keeping the peace and speaking difficult truths, challenges to spiritual beliefs, confrontations with parts of yourself you’ve been repressing) come back for another round, but this time, you have more information. You’ve had over a month to sit with the questions raised then.

The retrograde nature of this square indicates revisiting rather than initiating. An old conflict might resurface. Someone you disagreed with about beliefs might come back into contact. A truth you suppressed might demand acknowledgment again.

The opportunity here is integration. Can you honor both your desire for transcendence and connection AND your need to speak your truth? Can you be both compassionate and honest? The first square in February raised the question. This second square invites an answer.

Tips for March 16th:

  • Reflect on what happened around February 10th, what did that experience teach you?
  • Notice if old conflicts or tensions are resurfacing
  • Practice speaking truth with compassion (not either/or, but both/and)
  • Pay attention to what you’ve been suppressing or hiding, it may demand acknowledgment
  • Honor your authentic voice without using it as a weapon
  • Journal about how your understanding has evolved since the first square

In the World: Return of earlier controversies or conflicts, especially around beliefs and truth-telling. Public figures may revisit statements they made in early February. Continuation of debates about spiritual bypassing versus authentic spirituality. Opportunities for reconciliation around earlier tensions if approached consciously.

March 20th: Mercury Stations Direct in Pisces

Mercury ends its retrograde journey and begins moving forward again. Like the station retrograde, the station direct is a potent, somewhat disorienting day. Mercury appears to stand still before resuming forward motion, and our minds may feel similarly suspended.

The station direct marks a turning point! The phase of review, reflection, and revisiting is complete. Now begins the phase of integration and forward movement. However, this doesn’t happen immediately. There’s a period after the station, the post-shadow phase. Full speed and clarity typically return about two weeks after the station direct.

This specific station direct coincides with the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere (Fall Equinox in the Southern). This alignment amplifies the significance of Mercury’s station, reflecting that the shift from retrograde to direct is connected to larger cycles of renewal and emergence!

All the insights, revisions, and reconnections from the retrograde period now begin to bear fruit. Decisions that became clear during the retrograde can start to be implemented. Conversations that were stuck can move forward. Projects that were on hold can resume. However, patience remains important because rushing forward immediately after the station often leads to snags.

Tips for March 20th:

  • Expect some mental fog and don’t schedule demanding intellectual work
  • Review what you learned during the retrograde, what are the key insights?
  • Begin to formulate plans based on retrograde realizations, but don’t rush to act
  • Honor the seasonal shift (equinox) with some kind of ritual or acknowledgment
  • Backup computers one more time, technology could still glitch
  • Practice patience, full clarity and forward momentum build over the next two weeks

In the World: Sense of collective exhale as retrograde ends. Announcements or decisions that were postponed during retrograde begin to emerge. Spring/fall equinox energy amplifies the sense of new beginnings. Stories that were developing during retrograde reach new chapters. Technology and transportation gradually normalize.

March 28th: Mercury Square Lilith

This is the third and final Mercury-Lilith square during the transit. Three passes of the same aspect (pre-retrograde, during retrograde, post-retrograde) create a narrative arc that offers resolution.

The first square (February 10th) introduced the tension. The second (March 16th) invited reflection and deepening. This third square brings completion and integration. Whatever lessons these squares have been teaching about truth, belief, spirituality, and authentic voice can now be understood and embodied.

You may notice a sense of resolution or closure around themes that have been running since early February. A conflict may finally settle. A truth you’ve been struggling to express may find its way out. A false belief may finally release its grip. Or you might feel that you’ve matured in your ability to hold both compassion and honesty.

This is the last major challenge before Mercury finishes its journey through Pisces. Use it to complete any unfinished business related to truth, beliefs, and authentic expression.

Tips for March 28th:

  • Look back over the whole transit and notice your growth around these themes
  • If there’s still something you need to say, consider how to say it with both honesty and compassion
  • Release any beliefs or stories that have been revealed as illusions
  • Thank the difficult experiences for what they taught you

In the World: Final chapter of controversies and conflicts that emerged in early February. Resolutions or conclusions to debates about beliefs and truth. Potentially significant statements from public figures that integrate previous tensions. A sense of having moved through something collectively.

April 3rd: Mercury Trine Jupiter

This is the third and final Mercury-Jupiter trine of the transit. Jupiter has stationed direct, so both planets are now moving forward. This creates the most purely optimistic and expansive version of this aspect!

The first trine (February 16th) opened possibilities. The second (March 9th) deepened understanding during retrograde. This third trine brings those possibilities into actionable reality. Dreams can start becoming plans. Insights can become decisions. Faith can motivate forward movement.

This is a wonderful day for articulating your vision, sharing hopeful ideas with others, making plans that excite you, teaching or learning, and speaking about emotional and spiritual matters. The wisdom gained during the retrograde period is now available as fuel for future action!

The Cancer influence keeps this grounded in real emotional needs like home, family, security, and nurturing. Conversations about home, family, emotional wellbeing, and how to create more security in life flow easily and productively.

Tips for April 3rd:

  • Share your dreams and visions with people who can support them
  • Make plans and begin taking action on retrograde insights
  • Have meaningful conversations about family, home, and emotional needs
  • Write about your vision for the future
  • Teach or share knowledge about topics that inspire you
  • Trust your expanded understanding and let it guide your choices

In the World: Optimistic announcements and forward-looking plans enter public discourse. Positive developments in areas of family policy, housing, mental health, and emotional wellbeing. Inspiring messages from spiritual teachers, artists, and wisdom keepers. Sense of collective hope and possibility emerging from the reflective retrograde period.

April 14th: Mercury Sextile Uranus

Sextiles are supportive, opportunity-creating aspects. This aspect brings unexpected insights and innovative ideas, particularly about how to ground spiritual understanding in practical reality. Uranus always brings surprise, so the specific form this takes is unpredictable. But the general theme is breakthrough like sudden understanding, innovative solutions, and unexpected connections.

In Taurus, Uranus has been revolutionizing our relationship with money, the earth, and material security. When Mercury in Pisces sextiles this energy, our minds can receive downloads about how to bring our dreams into physical form. Creative solutions to practical problems may appear. Technology might support spiritual goals in unexpected ways.

This is Mercury’s last major aspect in Pisces before moving into Aries, so it carries a sense of culmination. The intuitive and imaginative journey through Pisces reaches toward the practical innovations needed to manifest what we’ve envisioned.

Tips for April 14th:

  • Be open to surprising ideas and unexpected solutions
  • Pay attention to sudden insights
  • Look for ways to ground your spiritual understanding in practical action
  • Experiment with new approaches to old problems
  • Technology and innovation can support creativity and spirituality, explore how
  • Write down breakthrough ideas immediately before they slip away

In the World: Unexpected announcements or innovations, particularly combining technology with artistic or spiritual applications. Surprise developments that shift conversations in new directions. Breakthrough solutions to problems that seemed stuck.

April 15th: Mercury Enters Aries

Mercury leaves the watery depths of Pisces and enters the fiery, direct energy of Aries! This shift is significant. It’s from the dreamiest sign to the most action-oriented, from the end of the zodiac to the beginning, and from surrender to assertion.

You’ll likely feel this change clearly. The mental fog lifts. Thinking becomes sharper and more decisive. Communication becomes more direct…perhaps too direct. The urge to act on ideas replaces the urge to contemplate them.

I share a complete breakdown of what to expect during the month of February here. For February rising sign messages you can check this post out.

What Each Rising Sign Can Expect During Mercury In Pisces

The house that Mercury transits through in your chart determines where these Pisces themes will be most active for you! The following messages use the whole sign house system. You can also read for your Sun sign, but I suggest reading for your rising sign for the most accurate reading. These are general messages. If you want an in-depth personalized transit reading you can grab one here!

Aries Rising

Where This Transit Lands: 12th house (the unconscious, dreams, spirituality, the hidden, self-sabotage, institutions, and solitude)

Themes: For you, Mercury’s journey through Pisces illuminates your inner world and the parts of your psyche that operate beneath conscious awareness. This is a deeply introspective transit, pulling your mental energy away from the outer world and into contemplation, retreat, and spiritual exploration. Your 12th house rules dreams, meditation, solitude, and the collective unconscious. It also rules hidden enemies, self-sabotaging patterns, hospitals, prisons, and any place of retreat or confinement. Mercury here wants to bring consciousness to what’s usually hidden.

You might find yourself needing more alone time than usual. Your mind is processing at deep levels, and social interaction may feel draining. Dreams could be vivid, meaningful, or disturbing. Memories from the past may surface without apparent trigger. You might become aware of unconscious patterns like ways you undermine yourself, fears you didn’t know you had, and motivations that were hidden from your own awareness.

The retrograde period (February 26th – March 20th) intensifies this inward turn. It’s an excellent time for therapy, meditation retreats, and any practice that helps you explore your inner world. Old psychological material is ready to be processed and released, but the mental fog is also strongest for you during this transit. You may feel confused, spacey, or disconnected from practical reality.

Challenges: The biggest challenge for you is the loss of your usual mental clarity and decisiveness. Your sign is characterized by direct action and clear thinking. You know what you want and you go for it! Mercury in your 12th house clouds this clarity, making it hard to know what you want or see your path forward. You might feel unusually passive, confused, or lost.

There’s also risk of mental escapism like getting lost in fantasy, substance use, excessive sleeping, or any behavior that helps you avoid dealing with uncomfortable psychological material. The 12th house holds what we’ve repressed, and when Mercury transits through it, that repressed material seeks expression. If you resist, escapism becomes tempting.

Watch for hidden enemies or undermining influences. The 12th house rules people who work against you behind the scenes. During Mercury’s transit here, you might become aware of someone who isn’t as supportive as they seemed, or discover that someone has been talking about you negatively. Information about hidden matters may come to light.

Benefits: This transit offers rare access to your own unconscious mind. Spiritual breakthroughs are especially available. The 12th house is where we connect with something larger than our individual self. Whether through meditation, prayer, nature, or other practices, you may experience moments of transcendence. Insights about life’s meaning, your soul’s purpose, or your connection to all beings may arise.

Creative inspiration flows from deep sources. Many artists find that 12th house transits are productive for generating raw creative material, even if that material needs to be refined later. The unconscious speaks in images and symbols, and your conscious mind can learn to listen. Healing of old psychological wounds becomes possible. Whatever therapy or inner work you undertake during this transit has extra potency! Patterns that have been stuck for years may finally shift.

Tips:

  • Prioritize solitude and rest, your energy is meant to be directed inward now
  • Start or deepen a meditation practice
  • Keep a dream journal and pay attention to the messages from your unconscious
  • Consider therapy, counseling, or other supported inner work
  • Be gentle with yourself about productivity, this is not a time for outer achievement
  • Watch for self-sabotaging patterns becoming visible so you can address them
  • Limit substances and escapist behaviors that could become problematic
  • Trust that the fog will lift when Mercury enters your sign on April 15th

What the Transit Sequence Means for You: The Mercury-North Node conjunction (February 12th) could bring a fated insight about your spiritual path or a message from your unconscious that redirects your life. The Mercury-Jupiter trines (February 16th, March 9th, April 3rd) support emotional healing and expansion of your inner life, potentially through meaningful conversations about family or childhood. The Mercury-Venus conjunction (February 28th) might bring dreams about love or artistic inspiration from hidden sources. The Mercury-Mars conjunction (March 15th) could surface anger or drive that you’ve been suppressing. The Mercury-Uranus sextile (April 14th) might bring a sudden insight that changes your understanding of your own psychology.

Taurus Rising

Where This Transit Lands: 11th House (friends, groups, communities, hopes and wishes, social networks, the future, causes)

Themes: Mercury’s journey through Pisces activates your social world, your friendships, group involvements, communities, and visions for the future. This is about communication within your social life, ideas shared among like-minded people, and conversations about collective hopes. Your 11th house rules the networks of people who support your goals, as well as your aspirations for what life could become.

You might find yourself more engaged with friends, community groups, or social causes than usual. Conversations within these circles become more meaningful and heartfelt. There’s potential for deepening friendships through vulnerable sharing, joining groups aligned with your spiritual or creative interests, or reconnecting with old friends.

The 11th house also rules your hopes and wishes and your vision of the future you want to create. Mercury here encourages you to articulate those dreams, share them with your community, and engage with others who share similar visions. This is a time when your ideals can take clearer shape through conversation and connection.

Challenges: The Piscean fog can create confusion in friendships and group dynamics. Miscommunication with friends is likely during this transit, especially during the retrograde. You might misread a friend’s intentions or have your own intentions misunderstood. Group projects or community efforts may become disorganized or lose direction.

There’s also potential for idealization of friends or groups, perhaps seeing them as more perfect or unified than they actually are, then feeling disappointed when reality intrudes. Pisces can create rose-colored glasses that make it hard to see people and situations clearly. Boundaries in friendships may become unclear. You might absorb too much of a friend’s emotional state, give more than is healthy, or struggle to say no to community demands. The merging quality of Pisces doesn’t always serve friendship, which requires some degree of healthy separation.

Benefits: This transit can deepen your friendships significantly. The vulnerability and compassion of Mercury in Pisces supports the kind of conversations that turn acquaintances into true friends. If you’re willing to open up and let others see the real you, your social connections can become more meaningful and supportive.

Group creative projects THRIVE under this energy. If you’re part of any artistic, spiritual, or humanitarian collective, this is excellent energy for collaborative imagination! Your vision of the future can expand and clarify through conversations with aligned people. Talking about your dreams with friends who understand and support them helps those dreams become more real and achievable. Community involvement around spiritual, artistic, or humanitarian causes is especially fulfilling now. You might find your people, or deepen your connection with the community you’ve already found.

Tips:

  • Invest time in meaningful friendships, heart-to-heart conversations create lasting bonds
  • Join or engage more deeply with groups aligned with your values and interests
  • Articulate your hopes and dreams, especially in conversation with supportive friends
  • Be careful about miscommunication, clarify and verify, especially during retrograde
  • Watch for idealizing friends or groups and then feeling disappointed
  • Maintain healthy boundaries even as you open your heart to your community
  • Reconnect with old friends, especially those you shared spiritual or creative connection with
  • Use the retrograde to reflect on which friendships and groups truly serve your growth

What the Transit Sequence Means for You: The Mercury-North Node conjunction (February 12th) could bring a fated meeting or conversation within a group or with a friend that aligns you with your life purpose. The Mercury-Jupiter trines support growth and optimism in your social world and your communication about the future. The Mercury-Venus conjunction (February 28th) brings sweetness to friendships and could spark artistic collaboration. The Mercury-Mars conjunction (March 15th) might bring passion or conflict within groups. Watch for heated debates among friends. The Mercury-Uranus sextile (April 14th) could bring an unexpected friendship, group opportunity, or breakthrough idea from your community.

Gemini Rising

Where This Transit Lands: 10th House (career, public image, reputation, authority, achievements, vocation, one’s role in the world)

Themes: Mercury is your ruling planet, making its transits especially significant for you! When Mercury moves through Pisces in your 10th house, your career, public image, and worldly position become infused with Piscean energy. This transit blends your natural mental agility with intuition, creativity, and compassion in your professional life.

Your 10th house rules your reputation, your career path, your achievements, and how you’re seen by the wider world. Mercury here brings attention to communication within your professional sphere like important conversations with bosses or colleagues, public speaking, professional writing, or discussions about your career direction.

With Pisces energy, your approach to career matters becomes more intuitive and creative. You might find yourself drawn toward more artistic or helping-oriented work. Your public image may soften, showing a more compassionate or imaginative side than usual. Career decisions might be guided more by feeling than by logic.

Challenges: The major challenge for you is potential confusion around career matters during this transit, especially during the retrograde. You might feel uncertain about your professional direction, receive mixed messages from superiors, or struggle to communicate clearly in professional contexts. Important career documents might get lost or contain errors.

Your reputation could also become subject to misunderstanding or projection. People might make assumptions about you that aren’t accurate, or rumors could circulate. It might be hard to control how you’re perceived.

Mercury retrograde in the 10th can create professional delays, reversals, or the need to redo work. Projects might go backward before they go forward. Career plans made during this time may need revision later.

Benefits: This transit supports infusing your career with creativity, compassion, and meaning. If your current work feels soulless or purely transactional, Mercury in Pisces in your 10th invites you to imagine something different, perhaps finding work that feeds your spirit as well as your bank account. Creative professions get a boost. If you work in arts, entertainment, healing, spirituality, photography, film, music, or any field that values imagination and empathy, this transit enhances your professional abilities.

Important insights about your career direction may arrive through intuition rather than analysis. Pay attention to hunches about job opportunities, career pivots, or how to handle professional relationships. Your public image can benefit from showing more vulnerability and humanity. People respond to authenticity, and Mercury in Pisces in the 10th helps you communicate in ways that touch hearts, not just minds.

Tips:

  • Trust your intuition about career matters, but verify important details carefully
  • Avoid making major career decisions during the retrograde if possible, use the time to reflect and envision
  • Be extra careful with professional communication, double-check emails, documents, and contracts
  • Allow creativity and compassion into your professional persona
  • Reconnect with mentors, bosses, or colleagues from your past during retrograde
  • Use the fog constructively and let go of rigid career expectations, dream about possibilities
  • Pay attention to your reputation and address any misunderstandings quickly
  • The retrograde is good for finishing old projects and revisiting career strategies

What the Transit Sequence Means for You: The Mercury-North Node conjunction (February 12th) could bring a fated career conversation, professional insight, or public recognition aligned with your life purpose. The Mercury-Jupiter trines support professional growth and optimistic career communications. The Mercury-Venus conjunction (February 28th) enhances creativity in your professional work and could bring appreciation or recognition. The Mercury-Mars conjunction (March 15th) might spark professional conflict or drive. Watch for heated workplace dynamics. The Mercury-Uranus sextile (April 14th) could bring an unexpected professional opportunity or sudden career insight.

Cancer Rising

Where This Transit Lands: 9th House (higher education, travel, philosophy, beliefs, publishing, religion, foreign cultures, legal matters, expansion of horizons)

Themes: Mercury’s journey through Pisces takes place in your house of higher learning, beliefs, and expansion. This transit illuminates your worldview and the philosophical or spiritual framework through which you understand life. It’s about big-picture thinking, meaningful travel (physical or intellectual), and conversations that expand your understanding.

Your 9th house rules beliefs, faith, philosophy, religion, higher education, publishing, long-distance travel, and engagement with foreign cultures. Mercury here stimulates your mind around these big themes. You might find yourself in conversations about the meaning of life, exploring a new spiritual path, studying something that expands your worldview, or dreaming about far-off places. With Pisces energy, your approach to beliefs and learning becomes more intuitive and imaginative. Faith comes easier than logic. You’re drawn toward spiritual rather than purely academic knowledge. The journey is more interesting than the destination.

Challenges: There could be confusion around beliefs. You might feel uncertain about what you believe, receive contradictory spiritual teachings, or struggle to articulate your philosophy of life. The retrograde especially can stir up doubts about beliefs you thought were settled.

Travel plans are vulnerable to Mercury retrograde complications. You might experience travel delays, cancellations, lost baggage, or miscommunication with travel services. If you must travel during this period, build in extra time and flexibility.

Publishing and academic projects may experience setbacks or require revision. If you’re working on writing for publication or completing educational requirements, expect the process to take longer and require more revision than planned.

There’s also risk of spiritual confusion, like being drawn toward beliefs or teachers that aren’t as trustworthy as they appear. The Pisces-Lilith squares throughout the transit highlight the tension between genuine spiritual wisdom and blind faith in false authorities.

Benefits: This is a powerful time for genuine spiritual growth. The 9th house rules your connection to meaning and transcendence, and Mercury in Pisces here supports deep engagement with spiritual questions. Meditation, prayer, studying sacred texts, working with a spiritual teacher, or contemplating life’s big questions can bring profound insights. Creative and imaginative approaches to learning flourish. If you’re studying anything, especially in arts, humanities, spirituality, or helping fields, this transit enhances your ability to understand and communicate about it.

Travel, even if challenging, can be deeply meaningful. Journeys taken during this transit may have a fated quality, putting you in contact with places, teachings, or people that shift your understanding. Conversations about beliefs, meaning, and philosophy can be rich. You can understand viewpoints very different from your own, and you can articulate your own understanding in ways that touch others.

Tips:

  • Explore spiritual teachings, philosophies, or worldviews that intrigue you
  • If traveling, build in extra time and stay flexible about plans
  • Use the retrograde to reconsider your beliefs, what do you actually believe, versus what you’ve been taught to believe?
  • Be discerning about spiritual teachers and teachings, not everything that sounds wise is
  • Study, especially in areas related to spirituality, creativity, or helping others
  • Write about your beliefs, even if just for yourself
  • Connect with people from different cultural or philosophical backgrounds
  • Let the journey be the destination, embrace exploration without needing conclusions

What the Transit Sequence Means for You: The Mercury-North Node conjunction (February 12th) could bring a fated encounter with a teaching, teacher, or belief system aligned with your soul’s growth. The Mercury-Jupiter trines are especially powerful for you, expect expansion, optimism, and meaningful growth around beliefs and learning. The Mercury-Venus conjunction (February 28th) brings beauty into your philosophical explorations. The Mercury-Mars conjunction (March 15th) could spark passionate debates about beliefs. The Mercury-Uranus sextile (April 14th) could bring an unexpected breakthrough in understanding or a surprising opportunity for travel or learning.

Leo Rising

Where This Transit Lands: 8th House (transformation, shared resources, intimacy, death and rebirth, psychology, other people’s money, hidden things, sexuality)

Themes: Mercury’s journey through Pisces takes you into deep psychological waters. Your 8th house rules transformation, intimacy, shared resources, secrets, death (literal and metaphorical), and the psychological depths where our shadows lurk. Mercury here wants to communicate about things that usually stay hidden, the unspoken dynamics in intimate relationships, the money you share with others, and the fears and desires you don’t like to admit.

Mercury in your 8th house might bring important conversations about shared finances, inheritances, debts, or resources you hold jointly with others. It might also bring deep psychological conversations, therapy sessions, intimate exchanges with partners, or internal dialogues with your own shadow.

Challenges: You might feel confused about shared financial matters, unclear about what’s really going on in your intimate relationships, or lost in psychological territory without a map. There’s potential for miscommunication or deception around money and shared resources. Read contracts carefully, verify financial information, and be wary of deals that seem too good to be true. The retrograde period is not ideal for financial decisions involving others like loans, investments, inheritances, or taxes.

Intimate conversations can become confusing rather than clarifying. You might think you and your partner understand each other when you actually don’t. Old relationship wounds might resurface. Secrets might be revealed, either yours or someone else’s. Psychologically, this transit can stir up material you’d rather not face. Fears, insecurities, jealousy, and desire for control are the shadow sides of your psyche that could also become more active and may demand attention.

Benefits: This transit supports psychological transformation. The 8th house is where we die to old versions of ourselves and are reborn. Mercury here brings consciousness to this process. You can understand what you’re releasing and what you’re becoming. Therapy is especially effective during this transit. Intimate conversations can reach extraordinary depth. If you’re willing to be vulnerable and honest, and if your partner meets you there, you can experience a level of emotional intimacy that transforms your relationship.

Hidden information may come to light, and while that can be uncomfortable, it’s usually ultimately helpful. Secrets lose their power when exposed. Understanding the real situation, even if it’s complicated, beats operating on false assumptions. Financial matters involving others may move forward in ways that benefit you, especially around the Jupiter trines.

Tips:

  • Approach financial matters involving others with extra caution during retrograde
  • Read all contracts and financial documents carefully, have someone you trust review them too
  • Use this time for deep psychological work like therapy, shadow work, and journaling about your fears and desires
  • In intimate relationships, prioritize honesty even when it’s uncomfortable
  • Be prepared for secrets to surface and handle them with compassion
  • Watch for power dynamics in intimate or financial relationships becoming visible
  • Trust the transformation process, even when it feels like dying
  • The retrograde is good for revisiting old psychological material and achieving new understanding

What the Transit Sequence Means for You: The Mercury-North Node conjunction (February 12th) could bring a fated conversation about shared resources, intimacy, or psychological matters that aligns with your soul’s growth. The Mercury-Jupiter trines support healing and growth through deep emotional work. The Mercury-Venus conjunction (February 28th) brings grace to intimate conversations and potentially benefits through others’ resources. The Mercury-Mars conjunction (March 15th) could spark intense or even confrontational dynamics around shared resources or intimacy. The Mercury-Uranus sextile (April 14th) could bring an unexpected revelation or breakthrough in psychological understanding.

Virgo Rising

Where This Transit Lands: 7th House (partnerships, marriage, committed relationships, open enemies, one-on-one interactions, contracts, collaborations)

Themes: Mercury is your ruling planet, making its transits especially important for you. Mercury’s journey through Pisces takes place in your house of partnership, directly opposite your rising sign. This creates tension. Virgo rising is analytical and detail-oriented, while Pisces energy (and the 7th house) draws you toward others in ways that can feel overwhelming or disorienting.

Your 7th house rules committed partnerships, marriage, business collaborations, contracts, and significant one-on-one relationships. Mercury here brings attention to communication within these relationships. This is a time for meaningful conversations with partners, negotiating agreements, discussing shared visions, and working through relationship issues.

With Pisces energy, your approach to partnership becomes more idealistic and emotionally attuned. You’re more willing to compromise and merge, but you might also be more susceptible to projection. You could be seeing partners as you imagine them rather than as they are.

Challenges: Mercury in Pisces in your 7th creates strong potential for miscommunication in partnerships. You think you understand each other, but you’re actually operating on assumptions and projections. Important conversations might go in circles without reaching clarity. Partners might seem to say one thing and mean another. The retrograde period is particularly challenging for partnership matters. This is not an ideal time to sign contracts, get married, or formalize business partnerships, but sometimes you can’t put off life and that’s understandable. Just triple check everything.

Existing partnerships may experience confusion, revisit old issues, or require renegotiation. As a Virgo rising, you may find Mercury in Pisces especially disorienting because it’s your ruling planet in its fall (one of Mercury’s weakest positions). Your usual mental clarity is clouded. Your ability to analyze details is compromised. This can feel uncomfortable and unfamiliar. There’s also potential for relationship idealization followed by disappointment, or for attracting partners or collaborators who aren’t what they seem.

Benefits: This transit offers your partnerships what they often lack like softness, imagination, and emotional depth. Mercury in Pisces in your 7th invites more compassion, acceptance, and wonder into your partnerships. Meaningful conversations with partners can reach new depths. You’re more able to hear their feelings behind their words, and more willing to share your own vulnerability. Relationships can heal during this transit if both partners are willing to be honest and compassionate.

The retrograde is actually good for revisiting relationship issues that were never fully resolved. Conversations you’ve been avoiding can finally happen. Patterns that have been stuck can shift. If you’re seeking partnership, this transit can attract romantic possibilities, though it’s better to get to know people slowly rather than committing quickly during the retrograde.

Tips:

  • In partnership conversations, speak clearly and verify that you’ve been understood
  • Avoid signing contracts or making major partnership commitments during retrograde
  • Use the retrograde to revisit and resolve old relationship issues
  • Practice compassion and acceptance with partners, let go of perfectionism
  • Watch for projections, are you seeing your partner clearly, or seeing what you want to see?
  • If old partners reappear, take time to understand why before recommitting
  • Balance openness to merger with maintaining your individual clarity
  • Trust that the communication fog will lift after Mercury enters Aries on April 15th
