When it comes to your mental health and well-being, it is so important to practice self-love. If you are anything like me, then maybe it’s been a while since you really took the time to compliment yourself, or to just have a day where you could focus on nothing but YOURSELF! I noticed that when I started to put my happiness second to everyone else’s, my confidence began to drop, my mood began to shift, and I was no longer the happy go-lucky person I used to be. That’s when I decided it was time to practice self-love daily. That’s why I put together this list of 25 best ways to practice self-love. These habits instantly boosted my mood and made me feel more confident than ever before.
1. Talk to Yourself Like You Would to Someone You Love
When it comes to self-love, it’s important to never doubt yourself and always talk to yourself positively. I am a true believer in “you are what you think you are.” Our minds are more powerful than we think. If you are constantly putting yourself down, you will start to believe the words. It’s important to use positive words, cans instead of cant’s & always tell yourself your beautiful inside and out.
2. Self-Love Pamper Days
Sometimes you need to have a bubble bath and eat a box of chocolates. It’s okay. Give yourself a facial and enjoy quiet “me” time. Nothing says self-love like a little TLC. (yes it’s cliche, but seriously, enjoy time alone with yourself.)
3. Let Go of Toxic Relationships
If you have negative people in your life who only put you down, it’s okay to let them go. If you don’t, you are only harming yourself. Surround yourself with only those who bring happiness and positivity into your life.
4. Get Up Early & Get Lots of Rest
Make sure you are giving yourself a full 8 hours of rest and wake up earlier to give yourself more time during the day. I love a good self-love morning routine! I usually wake up, get ready, journal a little, practice positive affirmations and have a nice cup of coffee. It’s a great start to my morning and get’s my day started on a positive note.

If you declutter your space, relationships, and social media you will ultimately feel happier. Get rid of objects that have no meaning or use. Any clothes you haven’t worn in the past 6 months, should go. Lastly, go through your social media and get rid of any negativity and do the same with any relationships. Self-love is all about loving yourself inside and out. It’s not vain to say “damn I look good today!”

Go for a walk, especially with your dog. This will make you feel great. Clear your mind and enjoy a little bit of nature. (sounds cliche) but you can really benefit from this. I don’t know why but I find nature so soothing.

Ever want to do something but you were afraid? Step outside your comfort zone. This will give you the chance to learn more about yourself and even facing fears.

You are you, & there’s no one like you. The more you compare yourself to others, the more damage you are doing to your self esteem. Appreciate all you have accomplished and be grateful for what you have. It can make a huge difference.
